-Calls people stupid for naming their cars
-Can’t spell “their”

People may name something they have emotional attachment to. Nothing wrong with that.

so you think people who use spellcheck are smart?

Quality #hottake
I’ll take a step further: People who name their dogs are stupid. Unless it’s a show dog, then you can make the name as stupid as you want.

My current car’s name is Jellybean. My previous car’s name was Squeaky.
Oh, and my current car is an automatic Fiesta sedan.
I thought we Oppos learned a long time ago that there are car enthusiasts of all stripes here, and calling someone else’s car preferences “stupid” is a stupid, non-excellent thing to do.

I named my car Tom, after New England Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady. My car is a 2013 VW turbodiesel, so yeah, they’re both cheaters.

Squishy Purplestuff Poptart, Jr. (That’s a real name of a cat I know.)

We’ve always named our cars.
Mine is called Piglet as the letters on the licence plate read ‘piggly’.
Nothing stupid about it. Some people have house names for an address rather than a number. Each to their own.

Or, Belichick might be spying on it too? So many conspiracy theories, so little time..

We had a Maremma a few years back called Caesar, because when he was a pup he’d seize everything he saw and try to chew it.
He was a pedigree and registered with the Kennel Club as Crystal Ice King. We never showed him as he was a thick (but lovable) dog and we couldn’t get his nose or pads to go black (they always had some pink) so couldn’t show him.

We never gave him is show name, it was a name given to him.
Some show names are terrible but your comment of ‘people who name their dog are stupid’ wasn’t all that great either.
#if it was sarcasm I didn’t pick it up, I’m sorry.

lol yes, it was sarcasm. Our dog is named Chevy, of all things.

Cool. Sarcasm is hard to pick up in text. :)
Chevy is cool. It would work on another level if he liked to chase things.
I know a guy who has a Springer Spaniel called Jerry.

Guess I’ll start paying stupid tax then.
Fun fact: (not so scientific) research has shown that about 50% of Mini owners over here name their car.

We had a purebred Weimaraner. Her normal name was Windy which was short for her full name, Ghostwalkers Winds of Change.
